Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-17.
These terms govern your use of TagGuard, operated by an independent developer ("TagGuard", "we"). Contact: contact@tagguard.dev.
1. The services
- scripttag-audit CLI — an open-source command-line tool (MIT license) that runs on your own machine and queries the Shopify Admin API with credentials you provide. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.
- TagGuard Shopify app — an embedded app that audits and monitors script tags on stores you own or are authorized to administer. Subscriptions to paid features are billed and managed through Shopify (Shopify Billing). Free features are provided as-is.
- TagGuard dashboard & related offerings — where a purchase is made through Paddle (our merchant of record), Paddle's checkout terms apply to that transaction.
2. Acceptable use
You may use TagGuard only on stores you own or are authorized to access. You may not use it to interfere with stores, circumvent Shopify's terms or API limits, or resell the service without written permission.
3. Subscriptions, billing & refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. You can cancel at any time from the place you subscribed (Shopify admin for the app; the billing portal for Paddle purchases) — access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with 30 days' notice; changes never affect the current billing period.
4. Data & privacy
We store shop-level script tag metadata only — no customer data. See the Privacy Policy. GDPR-mandatory webhooks are honored.
5. Disclaimers & liability
TagGuard is provided "as is". We do not warrant that scans are error-free or that migration outcomes follow from using the reports. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TagGuard is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
6. Termination & changes
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
